Brief Description of RTC Roofing Replacement Project:

In August of 2002 the Fort Berthold Development Corporation was awarded the RTC Roofing Replacement Project and it was completed in December 2002. Fort Berthold Development Corporation played a key role in the design and planning phases and the actual construction of this project. FBDC designed the roof replacement and kept the costs within the government’s budget. Once the design was 95% complete, FBDC revisited the costs with the government and received the go ahead with the construction. The construction entailed removing the existing roofing materials, inspect the existing structure to ensure that the structure was in good condition and install the new roofing system. During the construction, the facility was occupied. FBDC had to maintain a dry working environment while also keeping the employees and construction workers safe.

Fort Berthold Development Corporations employees managed, reviewed and helped on all aspects of the design phases, overseeing the preparation of contract documents from programming through completion of the bid package. This included the transition from design to construction.
